The actual scale of the city of Lisbon is huge!  Making everything we want to see so spread out!  Rosie, as usual, has underestimated it incredibly, taking for granted we could walk everywhere like every other city.  How on earth are we going to see everything we need too!

Armed with a few tips on where to stop off on the road, Rosie and The Operator started our drive from Porto to Lisbon on a beautiful spring morning.

Rosie and The Operator are visiting Porto in Portugal and only have one full day to see all the sights!  Porto is an easily walkable city with all the sights pretty close together and Rosie is confident she will see all that has been recommended to her by Antonio, our exuberant apartment host, in our limited time frame. 

What a city Porto is!  Built on a hilltop, the colorful buildings tumble down to the Douro River in a tightly packed, random sized, colorful haphazard fashion.  The river gleams a murky green, the sky overhead is blue and the cry of seagulls fill the air.
