Rosie and The Operator are sitting at the airport.  The tide of humanity coming and going ebbs and flows all around.  We are breaking forth from winter hibernation and heading back to the USA for another road trip.  The East Coast is begging for exploration and Rosie and The Operator are ready for an adventure of discovery.

Rosie has always fancied the romance of the East Coast in the fall.  The beautiful colour of the autumn leaves, the stateliness of the area first settled, discovered and fought over to become the cradle of the United States and all it stands for….Rosie will need to read up alot on her history and cannot wait.  It took Rosie awhile to plan the journey, it took The Operator just as long to pick the car…..no convertible, something a little more practical luggage wise but not too boring and definitely something American!  That in itself could be our downfall…..The Operator has selected his preference, but, it all comes down to what is available on the day from the rental agency…the clause is ‘your stated preference or similar if not available.  Watch this space!

So, we are flying into San Francisco and then onto New York where we will spend 6 nights in the Big Apple, we then rent The Car and head out onto the road for 14 days before flying home.

What we hope to see…..

Pickles, Pretzels and Bagels from the street vendors in New York.

The famed Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan skyline from the harbour.

The chaos of Times Square and a show on Broadway.

Watch a Yankees game whilst consuming Beer and Nachos.

Beautiful Fall Foliage on the way to Boston

The Best Seafood ever in Cape Cod…….

Afternoon Tea at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue

The Civil War Trail and Southern Plantation Houses

Discover what the Jersey Shore is really like.

Hoping to spot a Beaver Dam and a Bear in the National Parks…….The Operator will be devastated if we don’t this time around!

Stay tuned!  Rosie and The Operator will be publishing on arrival in a couple of days!
